PM-KISAN: Overview
- Launched: February 2019 (retrospective from Dec 1, 2018)
- Ministry: Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare
- Type: Central Sector Scheme (100% funded by Central Government)
- Aim: To provide income support to small and marginal farmers.

Eligibility Criteria

- Beneficiary list prepared by State/UT governments
- Payments through Public Financial Management System (PFMS)
- Regular verification & grievance redressal system through PM-KISAN portal

- Over 12 crore farmers enrolled
- ₹2.80 lakh crore disbursed so far
- Integrated with PM-KISAN Mobile App, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) drives
