On 13th June 2025, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) officially declared the final result of the CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) 2024 examination. A total of 524 vacancies were filled for the post of Assistant Commandant in various forces including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, and Assam Rifles (AR).
One of the major highlights of this year’s result was Shagun Agrawal, who secured All India Rank 1 with an impressive score of 379 out of 600.

🔍 CAPF 2024 Exam Process
The UPSC CAPF selection process is conducted in three distinct stages:
Stage I – Written Exam
- Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type) – 125 Questions | 250 Marks
- Paper 2: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (Descriptive Type) – 200 Marks
Stage II – Physical Efficiency & Medical Standards Test
Includes PET (Physical Efficiency Test), height/weight check, vision standards, and overall medical fitness.
Stage III – Interview/Personality Test
- Worth 150 Marks
- Conducted for candidates who clear Stage II
